Shipping Policy

This Shipping Policy describes how Autom8 Technologies Inc. (“Autom8”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles shipping and delivery for orders placed directly with Autom8 through our online store and related sales channels (the “Store”).

This Policy applies in addition to our Terms of Service and Return and Refund Policy. Nothing in this Policy limits any mandatory consumer rights you may have under applicable law.


1. Where we ship

We currently ship Devices to:

  • Canada
  • United States
  • United Kingdom
  • European Union / EEA member states

Availability of shipping destinations may change over time. The countries or regions we can ship to at any given time will be shown at checkout.

If your country is not available at checkout, you can contact us at admin@autom8-obd.com and we will confirm whether shipping is possible and on what terms.


2. Orders placed via dealers or resellers

This Policy applies only to orders placed directly with Autom8.

If you purchased an Autom8 Device or related product from an authorized dealer, shop, installer, or other reseller, then:

  • Your shipping, delivery, and return terms are governed by that dealer or reseller’s own policies; and
  • You must contact the dealer or reseller directly for any questions or issues related to shipping and delivery of that order.

We may still provide manufacturer support where appropriate, but we do not control how third-party dealers handle their shipping.


3. Order processing times

We generally process and prepare orders for shipment within 4–7 business days after payment is successfully received.

  • Orders placed on weekends or public holidays are processed on the next business day.
  • During peak periods or special launches, processing times may be longer. If there is a significant delay beyond normal processing times, we will aim to notify you by email.

Processing times are separate from carrier transit times.


4. Shipping methods, carriers, and delivery estimates

At checkout, you will see one or more available shipping options (for example, standard or expedited), along with estimated delivery timeframes and costs. These are estimates provided by carriers and are not guaranteed.

Typical delivery timeframes after shipment (not including processing time) are:

  • Canada & USA: approximately 2–10 business days
  • UK & EU/EEA: approximately 5–14 business days

Overall, from the time an order is placed to final delivery, most shipments will arrive within roughly 6–21 business days (processing time plus transit), depending on destination and carrier performance.

Actual delivery times may vary depending on factors such as:

  • Exact destination and local postal/carrier performance
  • Customs processing and inspections (for international shipments)
  • Weather, strikes, or other events beyond our control

We are not responsible for delays caused by carriers or customs, but we will reasonably assist you in tracking and investigating delayed shipments.


5. Shipping costs

Shipping costs are calculated and displayed at checkout based on factors such as:

  • Destination country and region
  • Selected shipping method (standard, expedited, etc.)
  • Package weight and dimensions

From time to time, we may offer free or discounted shipping promotions. Any such offers will be clearly indicated on the Store or at checkout, and may be subject to conditions (such as minimum order value or region).


6. Customs, duties, and taxes (international shipments)

For orders shipped outside of Canada:

  • You may be responsible for import duties, customs fees, VAT, or other taxes imposed by your local customs authority or government.
  • These charges are not included in the product price or shipping cost shown at checkout unless we explicitly state otherwise.

You are responsible for:

  • Complying with your local customs and import regulations; and
  • Paying any additional charges required for your shipment to be released and delivered.

We cannot control or predict customs charges, delays, or decisions. If you have questions about potential duties and taxes, please contact your local customs office.

If a shipment is returned to us due to non-payment of customs fees, refusal by the recipient, or failure to comply with import requirements:

  • We may, at our discretion, treat the order as cancelled and refund the product price excluding shipping costs and any unrecoverable fees; or
  • Offer to re-ship the order, subject to additional shipping charges.

7. Address accuracy and delivery issues

Please ensure that the shipping address and contact details you provide at checkout are complete and accurate.

  • We are not responsible for orders shipped to an incorrect or incomplete address provided by you.
  • If a shipment is returned to us due to an incorrect address, failed delivery attempts, or an unclaimed package, we may:
    • Offer to re-ship the package to a corrected address, subject to additional shipping fees; or
    • Treat the order as cancelled and refund the product price (excluding original shipping), at our discretion and subject to our Return and Refund Policy.

If your tracking information shows “delivered” but you have not received the package:

  1. Check with household members, neighbours, or building staff (if applicable).
  2. Verify the delivery location indicated by the carrier.
  3. Contact the carrier directly using the tracking number.

If you still cannot locate the package, contact us at admin@autom8-obd.com with your order number and tracking information. We will work with you and the carrier to investigate, but final resolution may be subject to the carrier’s policies.


8. Lost or damaged shipments

If your shipment appears to be lost in transit or arrives visibly damaged:

  • Contact us at admin@autom8-obd.com as soon as reasonably possible; and
  • For damage, include photos of the packaging and the product.

We may open an investigation or claim with the carrier. Depending on the outcome and applicable law, we will, in line with our Return and Refund Policy:

  • Replace the affected item(s); or
  • Issue a refund for the affected item(s).

9. Split shipments

We may ship your order in multiple packages (for example, if certain items ship from different locations or at different times). You will not be charged additional shipping fees beyond what was shown at checkout, unless we clearly agree otherwise with you beforehand.

You will receive tracking information for each package where available.


10. Relationship to returns, refunds, and consumer rights

This Shipping Policy focuses on how we ship and deliver orders. Your rights to returns, refunds, and exchanges for purchases made directly from Autom8 are described in our Return and Refund Policy.

Nothing in this Shipping Policy is intended to limit or exclude any non-waivable consumer rights you may have under applicable law, including:

  • Rights relating to defective or non-conforming goods; and
  • Mandatory rights for consumers in the EU/EEA and UK regarding delivery and conformity.

In the event of any conflict between this Policy and mandatory local law, the law will prevail.


11. Changes to this Shipping Policy

We may update this Shipping Policy from time to time. When we do:

  • We will update the “Last updated” date at the top; and
  • Where changes are material, we may provide additional notice (for example, via our Store or by email).

Your continued use of the Store and Services after the updated Policy takes effect will constitute your acceptance of the changes.
